At Fatoni University, a delegation visit from the Muhammadiyah University Yogyakarta (UMY) Postgraduate Program was received officially by the University Leaders. In his remarks by the Vice-Chancellor of Fatoni University, he was delighted to have a visit from a UMY delegation consisting of study program managers in the Postgraduate Program environment.
On this occasion, delivering the vision and mission of the Political Doctoral Study Program of Politics-Political Science UMY was represented by Dr. Hasse Jubba (Study Program Secretary). In his description, Dr. Hasse Jubba conveyed several points that can be followed up on an ongoing basis in the future. First, collaboration opportunities in research and publications. This is intended to develop cooperation more broadly and openly between two Higher Education Institutions that have the same commitment in spreading Islam as rahmatan lil alamin. Second, the opportunity for lecturer exchange. This is intended to add to the teaching experience and interaction of faculty members at two tertiary institutions. Third, the opportunity for lecturers and students at Fatoni University to continue their studies in the Political Doctoral Study Program in Islam-Political Science in particular, and at UMY in general.
The three points above openly responded directly by Professor Zakaria Langputeh (Deputy for Fatoni University) honestly. He even promised to react immediately to the possibility of collaborative research and publication soon. On this occasion, Dr. Hasse Jubba, in addition to distributing brochures containing the profile of the study program, also submitted the book “Religious Identity Contestation: Spiritual Locality in Indonesia,” which is a self-written book published in 2019. In the future, there will be a reciprocal visit from Fatoni University to Yogyakarta Muhammadiyah University to strengthen more progressive cooperation, concluded by Professor Zakaria Langputeh.
