Preventing Radicalism By Practicing Pancasila

The issue of radicalism is our collective problem, not only Muslims, educational institutions, or non-Muslims. Extreme radicalism can endanger all parties because radicalism is against the teachings of any religion.
As conveyed by the Chair of the Political Islam-Political Science Program UMY, Dr. Zuly Qodir in the Seminar and Launch of the School Supervision Enrichment Book entitled “Character Education for Strengthening the Pancasila Ideology,” Wednesday (9/10) at the Ministry of Education and Culture Building in Jakarta. This activity was held by the Ministry of Education and Culture (Kemendikbud) together with the Maarif Institute.
Dr. Zuly said that we must all be aware of the problem of radicalism by still loving and defending the foundation of the country so that justice and the right law are upheld. Pancasila must be practiced not only to be condemned so that it becomes wah in life. This is one of the ways to prevent radicalism in Indonesia.
Besides Dr. Zuly Qodir, there were also present speakers including Prof. Dr. Muhajir Effendy (RI Minister of Education and Culture), Prof. Dr. Ahmad Syafii Maarif (Former Minister of Muhammadiyah PP), Prof. Muchlis R. Luddin (Irjend Kemendikbud) and Abd. Rohim Ghazali, M.A (Executive Director of the Maarif Institute).
