The Islamic Political-Political Doctoral Study Program UMY held its inaugural lecture in the odd semester of the academic year 2019 – 2020. The lecture which took place on Monday (9/16) in the Islamic Political Conference Room was attended by six new students. The new students are Andi Luhur, Shohibul Adib, M. Alkaf, M. Syamsurrijal, Mohammad Sheiki and Rifaat. Mohammad Sheiki is a foreign student from Tehran University, Iran.
The first meeting of the lecture was filled with Political Research Methodology courses that were taught by Prof. Dr Achmad Nurmandi, M.Sc. The lecture which took place from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. was also filled by Prof. Patrik Meyer, PhD, who was visiting the visiting professor at UMY. On this occasion, Prof. Patrik Meyer emphasized the importance of three pillars in education, including Ethics, Discipline and Critical Thinking.
New students were enthusiastic in attending this inaugural lecture. Lectures on odd semester 2019 – 2020 academic year will last for one semester. At the end of the lecture, students will carry out a Comprehensive Examination and Submission of a Dissertation Proposal.
