American Millennial Now Cynical Against Democracy

There are 1.5 million families in the United States who live on 3 dollars a day. This means that the number of noise in America today is quite large. This is one factor that will lead to the collapse of democratic credibility in America. Prof. Dr. Bambang Cipto conveyed this, MA, in the Discussion on the Crunch of Democracy Credibility Book, Friday, September 20, 2019, at the Abdurrahman Baswedan Foundation Secretariat.
Another signal of the democratic crisis in America is the occurrence of cynicism among millennials towards democracy. “One of the reasons for millennial cynicism about democracy is that workers’ salaries have been stagnant for the past 40 years,” said Bambang Cipto.
American millennials are also now inclined to praise socialism like a Chinese leader who can lift more than 700 million Chinese citizens out of poverty. “Millennial admiration for authoritarian leadership emerged in America,” explained Bambang Cipto.
As of this writing, book discussions are still ongoing. Besides Prof. Bambang Cipto, other speakers present were Ahmad Hanafi Rais, S.I.P, M.P.P (Member of the Republic of Indonesia PAN fraction), Dr. Siti Mutian Setiawati, MA (Lecturer of HI Fisipol UGM), Dr. Muhammad Khambali, SH., MH (Lecturer at the Proclamation University 45), and Fikry Fachrurrizal (Chair of the Media and Communication DPD IMM DIY).
