Two Students from the Philippines Seminars Dissertation Research Results

Ajree D. Malawani and Christine B. Tenorio are political-Islamic political science students from the Philippines. Both were successful and successfully carried out the Dissertation Results in Seminar Examination held by the Political Doctoral Program in Islam and Political Science, Saturday (7/3) at the UMY Integrated Postgraduate Campus Study Hall. The test took place in 2 different sessions and was attended by the examiner team.

The first session at 08.00 – 09.00, Christine explained the results of her dissertation research entitled “The Impact of Populism Regime of President Duterte on the Development of Philippine Democracy”. Meanwhile, the second session at 11.00 – 12.00, Ajree explained her research entitled “Utilising Social Media Information for Post Disaster Management: The Case of Region X, Philippines”.
The dissertation research seminar was open, and there were examiners in attendance, Prof. Dr Achmad Nurmandi, M.Sc., Prof. Dr H. Mochtar Mas’oed, Dr Zuly Qodir, M.Ag., Dr Hasse J., M.A., Eko Priyo Purnomo, M.Res., Ph.D., Dr Dyah Mutiarin, M.Sc., Dr Yeni Rosilawati, M.M., and Dr Mega Hidayati, M.A (Chair of the Session).

At the end of the seminar, examiners gave questions, suggestions and criticisms of the technical material, methodology and substance of the results of the dissertation research that had been presented. They were asked to revise the results of their dissertation research.
